History
Trinity Baptist Church was established in September of 1960. The 2 ½ acres on the corner of W. Monte Vista and Eldridge was purchased from Mr. Burt Wykoff in 1961 and we moved into our first building in 1965.
In June of 1971, Milton Steck was called to serve as Senior Pastor here at Trinity and continues to hold that office today. In 1973, we were able to add our two-story building adding 6,000 sq. ft. of ministry space. Our present Sanctuary was completed in 1977 and was just remodeled in 2006.
Trinity held it’s first annual Live Nativity presentation in December of 1985. Another of Trinity’s first’s was an international mission trip to Mexico in 1988. Our AWANA ministry began in 2002. We still have a desire to reach those here in the community and are also very active in local, national and international missions.
God has blessed Trinity by allowing us to be debt free with all of our facilities. In June 1994, we were able to purchase 6/10ths of an acre from Mr. Tony Morales where we were able to expand our parking lot. Then in August 2009, we dedicated our brand new Family Ministry Center (which incorporates a gym, large conference room, educational space and kitchen). For more information of the new building see the “Building for God’s Glory” section of our website.
Trinity Baptist Church has been very active in church starts in the surrounding area as well as equipping many who have been called to the Ministry.
Celebrating 50 Years Serving God in Our Community
On the weekend of September 18 and 19, 2010, the
church family and friends celebrated all that God has done in and through the
Trinity Baptist Church. Thank you to all the church members, past and
present, and to the families, friends and guests who were able to attend
the Saturday event and Sunday worship and meal. Also, thank you to all
those who worked so hard in planning, preparing for and hosting. We
thank God for each of you.
